Tomoyo Mizuth!

Watermarked silk pools into golden gilt, shot through with rippling hints of sun-kissed jasmine and blended with artistic perfection into the liquid wash of her hide. Misty wafts of dusky amber trails a merry minuet around the hollows of her throat, while twining streamers of rich amber spreading outwards towards golden sails of imperial silk, the broad attenuated spans marking her as one that inspires visions of flight. Along her lithe body, they wind down into clouded obscurity upon paws that lack none of the keen contrast of filigree gold against ebon. Subtle hints of honey deepens to a sudden arpeggio of cognac, a queen's worth of liquor-lapped colour pouring down to trail whimsical fingers along the so-smooth tail. The arch of the graceful head is accentuated by the framing headknobs, her triangular head childishly proportioned with a slender snout and widely curious jeweled eyes.

Origin of Name:

Mizuth is based on the Japanese word for 'water' which is 'mizu'. Each of the golds of Xanadu Weyr are based on a certain 'element'. Fabrinath is Earth, Aerinth is Air, Zivath is Fire, Sirikith was Void, and now Mizuth completes the set.

PERSONALITY:

You are her heart. There is nothing in the world she wouldn't do for you, and you know that. However, children seem to be a key for unlocking a part of Mizuth that no one gets to see. In short, she adores them. Especially little girls, fresh from being bathed and dressed, ready for what the world has to offer. It doesn't matter if they're not little angels -- they look the part, and for her, that's enough. You'll have a fine time keeping Mizuth from her explorations, but at least you won't have to worry about her getting those little girls dirty. As a matter of fact, those girls will have a hard time getting soiled, for like little dolls, Mizuth likes to keep the objects of her affection neat and tidy.

In fact, in finding out your weaver roots, your dragon will wonder if there isn't something /you/ could make for her special ones. << I really like that outfit, but don't you think she'd look better in blue? I think so. >> Even you won't be able to escape her notice... after all, you're her 'special little girl'. Nothing but the finest will do for you, and if that means going all over to Pern to get the ingredients for it... be prepared to put on your riding leathers.

Mizuth a penchant for eating flowers. Some she spits out and cries, but she really likes cherry blossoms even though they're tiny, often inhaling them or licking them off the trees. Boy, that would annoy the heck out of Lord Wagner, finding a dragon queen in the middle of his orchards.

She likes keeping an eye on you, mostly to see what you're doing rather than being overprotective. While she's young, she'll follow you like a shadow or a detective on your tail. You might look around and think she's not there, but she's somewhere, spying on your every move with the attention and delight of a true connoisseur. This might become more of a problem as she gets older and... bigger. It's one thing to have something the size of a really big saint bernard following you, another thing all together when Mizuth starts getting car sized, then truck sized, train...jumbo jet.

For a while, you might have to stay near windows when you go inside, because she'll be on the otherside looking in. If she can't find you, she might make a fuss, but in a sort of child like pleading manner, not quite whining or sulking, but definitely sweetly trying to coerce you back into sight. Or she'll try to get in. The dragon hallway is one thing, but she might get stuck in the tunnels deeper inside the Weyrbuilding.

PHYSICAL:

For a dragon queen, Mizuth is on the slim side, rather than bulky like her dam. Fluid and graceful, she has a way about her that is quite refined and elegant, though she has her off moments when she can be as childish and brattish as anyone. Her hide is very liquid looking, almost always gleaming, though of course that'll be because she /adores/ being oiled, soaking it up with as much enjoyment as when she goes swimming. Though her slenderness does make her a little less buoyant than some dragons, she does swim with great agility and natural skill.

Her head is wedge-shaped, notably broader over the forehead area and tapering down to her snout, though it's not very long. It seems to emphasize her eyes alot, making them seem rather large and giving her an almost child like affectation to her face. Those eyes almost always seem to be looking around, watching..but mostly you of course.

Mizuth's hide is a blend of streakiness with varying hues of gold, some more prominent than others like streamers, but otherwise rippling like waves of water. They accent her hide, brighter hues on top that overlays the deeper, warmer colors underneath. A pattern of finger like streaks dancing down her spinal ridges and showing up prominently along the topside length of her tail. Along her legs, the color darkens to more of an amber hue than gold, the claws themselves are black ebony.

Proportionally, she's very evenly balanced, though looking more comfortable on the ground than spiralling through the air. As a flier, she's much better at straight on flights, with some excellent speed and endurance than being the sort to be a daredevil flyer. Her wings are broad, wide sails to hold her up in the air, but the finger sails lack that narrow sharp edge that most greens would have that makes them more agile.

MIND VOICE:

The adoration of children even drifts into Mizuth's voice. Like sneaking in to listen to a grade school choir, this one's adolencent tones are always accompanied by the soft hum of innocent voices. Added on are the soft notes made by hand bells, each rung to accent a particular thought or word she happens to like. Always whispering, her voice never reaches a normal tone in jovial conversation; however, in anger, those bells can clash, notes off-key, even as those delicate voices move into despondant tones. Also present whenever she speaks is the faint smell of cherry blossoms -- it might seem strange to you, at first, when Mizuth is still a dragonet. But later on, when you're pulling her out of the orchards of Xanadu, the scent might not seem so out of place.

IMPRESSION POSE:

With evident joy and delight, the last closing distance is made as Perfect Sidekick Tomoyo Gold Dragonet hops up beside Lyllya and leans against her companionably. Her head angles upwards to stare into green eyes and her soft whrring takes on a delighted note. A paw tugs at white robe, all but commenting about it's simplicity. That won't due, _her_ lifemate needs the right costuming if she has a say in it!

IMPRESSION MESSAGE:

Bit by bit, peices of the world around you tightens, to tunnel into a smaller view -- like looking into eyepeice of a camcorder, some things might be a bit closer than they appear. All around, there is a soft tinkle of bells held by a choir, and the giggly tones of youthful innocence rushing beyond and reappearing ahead of you. All, save one. << Lyllya? >> A pause, and whrill - like that of a camera's lenses - brings that fragile voice into focus. << Lyllya. Our biggest event has yet to come, but don't worry. We'll be able to record everything and tell it to the world, you and I. Me... you know who I am, don't you? >> And as if that comment was a cue, the ringing of handbells stop, as the world returns to show a draconic face that is all too close.

>>My name is Mizuth!<<

EGG NAME/DESC:

Book of the Clow Egg

Untempered brass makes its mark upon an oblong surface, a warm hue that evelopes a rounded surface like smooth velvet. While there is no deviation in shade upon this large ovoid's surface, it is embellished by time-stained gold. Tarnished but never losing its metallic luster, it blazes not so carefully one rounded side; it is there a large feline blazes rampant, citrine crowned within its forehead as a flutter of silk that matches the beast's fur ranges at the egg's apex. Flanked by wings of yellowed ivory, the beast protects that which is within in the likeness of a metal encrusted moon under a banner marked with cryptic symbols. However, even the back of the egg is not left unmarred -- instead, a warding done within the shell's primary colors has been etched there, a sure sign that some legendary quantity rests inside.
